Chris Ruyter’s practice concentrates on civil litigation, estate administration, planning, and probate matters.
Chris grew up in Calvert County and attended Northern High School. From there he went on to graduate from West Virginia University with a major in Political Science.
Following college, Chris earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Baltimore School of Law where he graduated cum laude in May 2021. At the University of Baltimore, Chris was a member of the Royal Shannonhouse Honor Society. While attending law school Chris was an associate editor for the University of Baltimore Law Forum and a Md. Rule 19 Student Attorney in the Saul Ewing Civil Advocacy Clinic.
Chris was admitted to the Maryland Bar in 2021. Before joining Cumberland & Erly, LLC, he clerked for the Honorable Mark S. Chandlee, Administrative Judge at the Circuit for Calvert County.
In his free time, Chris enjoys golfing, watching sports, and spending time with family and friends.
